The Burger Box Roadhouse

I’m Nick Hamman and I’m looking for the best roadhouse in South Africa and today your comments have sent me to the birthplace of Charlize Theron to one of Three Burger Box Roadhouses, this time in Benoni. With the first one opening more than 70 years ago in Krugersdorp, this spot has all the making of a classic roadhouse with plenty of specials like pizza’s, ribs and chips, an inviting neon toilet sign and what I came here today, a good old fashion south African vetkoek with mince and melted cheese. There’s absolutely no way of getting around this, this is messy, indulgent, excessive, deep-fried deliciousness. 2 well stuffed vetkoek here together with chips is going to set you back R70.
