Lokkum Turkish Restaurant

Im Nick Hamman, and I’m looking for the best Turkish restaurant in South Africa . Today, your comments have sent me to Lokkum in Norwood Johannesburg on a dinner date night with my wife

In a building that was a cinema, before being a pizzeria, the venue is now tastefully filled with decidedly Turkish touches, which allow you to have a transporting experience while dining.

The food is true and authentic to Turkey and contains some specialty items that could often be considered difficult to find. The proud owners also more than willingly talk you through the menu, suggesting dishes to suit your palette.

It’s the kind of place where your best is to choose some different items of the menu and eat your way through the offerings.

Turkish food has been perfected over time and enjoys the benefit of influences from the best of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, central Asian and Balkan regions. They use rich, fresh ingredients, a vibrant blend of flavours and textures, and it's certainly a cuisine among my favorite  in the world.

The place is halal and I can see why so many people speak as favorably of it as they do and I would highly recommend you go and try Lokkum out for yourself and I’ve left their details in the caption
