Founded in 1864 as Nazareth, they changed its name 8 years later for being midway between Pretoria and Lydenburg.

For any surprised to find decent halal food this side of Mzansi its worth noting that the Muslim history of the town goes back to 1941, when the first mosque, now Masjid

Like any good curry house, this place has daily specials and being there on a Friday I happened to arrive on rogan josh day.

this is a rich, aromatic curry from Kashmir, traditionally made with tender lamb or mutton slow-cooked in a blend of yogurt, garlic, ginger, and spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and Kashmiri chili.
