Smokers Parliament

Out in Ndofaya, Meadowlands, a historic part of Soweto built in the 1950s, I met Mapetla, the founder of Smoker’s Parliament, a street food spot bringing serious kasi flavour.
Inspired by his mom’s kota hustle, he’s created something fresh with dishes like The Iron Beast, a R30 ox liver burger with slaw, chakalaka, bacon, and cheese. For R70, the mixed plate of liver, heart, pap, and sauce is proper indulgence.

Mapetla started this with just R700. No DNA, just RSA.
