I’m Nick Hamman and I’m looking for the best steak sandwich in South Africa and today your comments have sent me to an og of the game, crystals Sans which company in Morningside, Durban. With over 40 years of history, first opening its doors in 1979, this if spot is a firm favourite among locals for its consistency, flavour and good pricing. This is their original toasted steak which goes for R88, cheaper than many counterparts I’ve experienced around south Africa. Its two slices of toasted white bread with slap chips, onions, peppers and steak served in an indulgent spicy sauce. Its as good as it looks and I’m giving it the hammy stamp of approval, but if its not the best steak sandwich in South Africa, I need you to let me know in the comments where I’m going next
