I’m Nick Hamman and if you’re looking for braai’d Cameroonian fish you need to visit Rocky Road Yeoville and pay a visit to La Camerounaise.
This is proper Central African comfort food done the right way.

It’s here you can enjoy a whole grilled fish, cleaned, cut and cooked hard over heat so the skin tightens and chars while the flesh stays flaky and juicy. Finished simply with raw red onion scattered over the top, not for garnish but for bite and sharpness to cut through the richness of the fish.

On the side you’ve got thick hand cut chips and deep fried plantain slices, caramelised on the edges, and soft and almost creamy inside.
