Sunshine Pap and Steak

I’m Nick Hamman and if you’re looking to indulge in the delicious South African tradition of pap and meat, made by an absolute institution you should venture to the border of Parktown North and Rosebank in Johannesburg and pay a visit to this roadside food truck called Sunshine Pap and Steak. First opening in 2010 because she needed to create opportunities for herself, Bettie has been serving up hungry customers for 15 years with damn delicious, well priced food. In addition, Kota’s rolls and more, this steak and pap together with chili sauce, spinach and coleslaw came for R55. I can’t fault anything. The sides were fresh and wholesome, with a homemade touch, the meat was classic Mzansi chuck and the pap did what it needed to.
