Hennie's Upington Restaurant

Im Nick Hamman and easily one of the most epic experiences I’ve had watching rugby in a while in South Africa happened in Upington at Hennies, where I came to watch the Springboks Beat the All Blacks in Cape Town to lift The Freedom Cup. Opening up more and more around SA, hennies is more than your average sports bar. Understanding spectacle, there are a series of house rules, including buffalo, where If caught using your right hand to drink, you need to down. The food here was seriously impressive and had been at All Hennies I’ve gone to, with 16 buffalo wings served with tjippies and onions rings with Bietjie Buffel and blue cheese dip going for R150 The energy and atmosphere were world-class, and I’ll definitely be coming back as soon as possible.
