I’m Nick Hamman and I’m looking for the best Portuguese Restaurant in South Africa and today I’ve come an absolute icon of the Cape Town Food Scene, Vascos as it’s more commonly known or Vasco De Gama Taverna to watch the bulls ultimately beat the Sharks in an all Mzansi URC Semi Final. With cold beer, all the Portuguese classics you’d expect and multiple TV’s this spot ticked all the boxes I was looking for. I usually go for the steak prego and chips, but having tried everything my friends ordered I can confirm that Vascos more than knows what they’re doing, but if it’s not the best Portuguese in South Africa, you need to let me know in the comments where I’m going next?
