SIBS (Tacos)

I’m Nick Hamman and I think I might have just found the craziest pizza in South Africa. For over a year you guys have been trying to get me to Sibs in Cape Town, so here so I am, jumping on a plane to the mother city to Access Park in Kenilworth, where among the factory shops this place is famous for, is a series of epic food trucks including Sibs Sushi, a strictly halal fast food joint specialising in tacos, taco burgers and what I’m heee for today, their famous Taco Pizza.

Thinking of this bad boy as a pizza isn’t the right idea. To me, this was more like a nachos dish.

Going all out I went for the half prawn and half steak. This is tortillas with what felt like a block of melted mozzarella cheese. Steak, perinaise, tomato, lettuce, prawns, red onions and hot sauce.

Eating this in public and without professional accompaniment in the form of a fork or perhaps even a forklift is highly ill advised

These is messy, indulgent and yes, packed with flavour. It is pricy, going for R500 but for context, it won’t surprise you guys to know I eat a lot and after one slice so was already starting to get full
