A Texas Style Smokehouse next to a petrol station with an epic story. Back in 2019, Shabier and Sharfudin Parker kicked off Talladega Grill with a little pop-up slinging smash burgers and Texas-style brisket, then when lockdown hit they turned it into a dark kitchen and the hype went wild. Soon they had food trailers pulling up everywhere, a buzzing Lansdowne spot, and now a massive HQ that’s not just flipping burgers—it’s gearing up to take Talladega national.” I went for went for the Smash & Rib, which is already a heavyweight contender on that menu. a juicy single smash patty seared to perfection, crowned with tender smoked, deboned short rib that falls apart the second your teeth sink in. It’s layered with sweet braised onions, punchy gherkins, a hit of jalapeño heat, smoky chipotle mayo, tangy mustard, and a touch of tomato sauce.
The whole thing’s a rich, smoky-sweet-spicy flavour bomb. The rib adds this melt-in-your-mouth richness, the patty gives that classic beefy punch, and the sauces tie it all together so every bite hits with heat, tang, and umami.
