I’m Nick Hamman and I’m looking for the best butter chicken curry in South Africa and I might have just found it. today I’m in the north of Durban at an institution called Panaji’s. Run by an engineer turned restauranter, Bala Gangiah named this spot after the capital city of the Indian state of Goa. Here everything is made to order, with a build your own offering in terms of flavor, protein and spice level. Here they serve curry from different regions of India, including of course the distinctive, delicious Durban Indian. There is a small seating area, but in my opinion, you’re better off placing an order with Mr D. to have this curry brought directly to your mouth. Naturally I tried half the menu, but the butter chicken curry has to be among their standouts. I would highly recommend ordering Panaji’s for yourself, but if this is not the best butter chicken curry in South Africa, you need to let me know in the comments where I’m going next?
