I’m Nick Hamman and I’m looking for the best bakery in South Africa and my search begins today in Laudium, a predominantly Indian community just outside of Pretoria in Gauteng at the 3rd generation family run business, Super Bake and Take

This search is going to be a tribute to the sweet, delicious, decadent world of pastries, cakes, croissants, cookies and cream.

Going behind the scenes, it’s clear that passion, precision and love are all key ingredients in a successful bakery and getting to see it firsthand was a marvel to behold

First opening their doors in 1980, they’ve been rock-solid for 45 years and counting. Attributing hard work and the support of a strong community to their success.

In addition to custom order cakes its also worth noting that they use only fresh cream and I can confirm that everything was fresh, soft, sweet and super indulgent.
