Khana Khazana Tikka House

I'm Nick Hamman, and I’m looking for the best Chicken Tikka in South Africa . Today, my search has brought me to Fordsburg to try out Khana Khazana Tikka House on 25 commercial road. Attached to a canteen style eatery that serves traditional curries and other dishes, this spot sits on the road and lures patrons in through incredible smells that waft through the air.

Tikka is a Persian word, meaning "bits" or "pieces." It is also a chicken dish served in Punjabi cuisine. The Kashmiri version of the dish is grilled over red-hot coals, brushed with a marinade of chili and lemon at intervals to increase the flavor. The man responsible for the Tikka house goes by Vicky and can be found serving hungry customers at the store right until the later parts of the evening, when the store is often at its busiest. My entire meal came out at R45, was excellently cooked, with delicious flavours and I’d highly recommend checking Khana Khazana Tikka House out for yourself, but if it’s not the best Chicken Tikka in South Africa, you need to let me know in the comments where I’m going next
