The food here is epic, with a newly refreshed menu offering this banging cheesy chicken Prego. We’d come here to watch the IPL where Lucknow Super Giants beat Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets.

Founded in 1888, Pirates is steeped in history, with nods to prominent members of the past from donors to professional athletes proudly on display.  Among their various watering holes, the old bones bar has a distinct “what if these walls could talk” allure, no doubt filled with tales from countless fines meetings. 
Pirates is a fitting venue for Crystal, who in her own right deserves legendary status among sports broadcasters as someone who’s career has included covering some of the world's biggest clashes, championships, and rivalries during her time with SuperSport including multiple Olympics, Laureus World Sports Awards and Fifa World Cups.
Its clear that pirates is a place for community. With good food, great atmosphere and plenty of TV’s to watch the game. I am going to give pirates a 9 out of 10, but if its not the best place to watch the game in South Africa, you need to let me know in the comments where I’m going next.
