As the home of the Bunny Chow, to many South Africans you need to come to Durban to find the best. This place is unassuming, which is a good sigh, as soon as your bunny spot begins to look assuming you should start asking questions.

For the uninitiated, bunny chow is a hollowed-out loaf of white bread filled with curry, in this case mutton and also in this case, bloody excellent. Arriving on a plate, swimming in its own gravy, another brilliant bunny benefit is the bread encasing which keeps the curry piping hot throughout the dining experience.

The quarter mutton here goes for R100, which in my experience is very competitively priced against many of its counterparts. The bread was soft and fresh, the mutton tender and the curry rich, aromatic and flavorful
