The Village Bakery

I’m Nick Hamman and I’m looking for the best bakery in South Africa and today I’ve elected to have my bek moistened by an OG of the game, The Village Bakery in Fordsburg. First opening in 1981, this spot in nearly half a century in to selling cakes, pastries and pies, which I’d come to sample today. The spot is Halaal among my offerings I went for a chocolate éclair for R26, pastry slices at R33 and ganache slices at R33. My experience was soft, sweet, fresh, creamy, luxurious, magnificent and most and I would highly recommend trying out The Village Bakery for yourself and so I’ve left the details in the caption, but if this is not the best bakery in South Africa, you need to let me know in the comments where I’m going next
