I brought fellow food content creator from the UK, James Dimitri, here together with my boy, chef Gift Sedibeng.

The joint is opposite Madala Hostel, where I’ve previously gone for great head.

It’s everything you’d expect from a shisanyama. A butchery to pick and weigh your meat. Chuck, wors and chicken for us please. A fire master spices the meat and braais it while you grab a court from the attached bottle store. Zamalek please and thank you and you wait to be presented with a glorious platter of great South African meat, enjoyed under the African sun, alongside your fellow carnivore enthusiasts.
