The Smoke House

I’m Nick Hamman and this plate of food was R40. It’s pork chakalaka and pap and if you want it you need to head downtown to the Bloemfontein CDB on the corner of Selborn avenue and church street, near the bridge and look foe the spot under the green and blue tent. This is The Smoke House and recently I decided to come and try it out. Unfortunately arriving too late in the day they held sold out of chicken and other meets, but to me that’s a sign of good business and any small business in Mzansi doing well is a win in my books. If you don’t know Bloem, you might not know that they love their sauces and that’s certainly true here, I opted for a combination of peri-peri and bbq to drench my meat.
